By booking a session, using our website, or communicating with us to arrange services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Healing Aura provides professional psychological and wellness services delivered entirely via telehealth (video call, phone, and/or secure messaging). Our services are intended to support mental health and wellbeing and do not replace medical, psychiatric, or emergency care.
• We are not an emergency or crisis service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, see Section 9 (Emergencies & Crisis Situations).
• Outcomes of therapy cannot be guaranteed. Progress depends on many factors, including your engagement in the process.
• Our clinicians are registered with the Counsellors and Psychologists Board of Kenya. Registration details:
C&P/P/1213/2024
• You must be 18 years or older to independently consent to therapy with us.
• If you are under 18, services may only be provided with the informed consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
Telehealth counseling carries some differences from in-person therapy that you should understand and accept before beginning services:
- • You are responsible for ensuring you have a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space free from interruption for each session.
- • Technology can fail. If a session is disrupted by a technical issue on either side, we will attempt to reconnect or reschedule; time lost to technical failure is not billed.
- • At the start of therapy, and at the start of each session where your location has changed, you agree to confirm your physical location and provide an emergency contact, so that appropriate help can be reached in an emergency.
- • Electronic communication (video, phone, WhatsApp, email) carries inherent privacy and security limitations that do not exist in an in-person room. We use reasonable safeguards, but cannot guarantee absolute security of any electronic transmission see our Privacy Policy for more detail.
• Sessions must be booked in advance through our website, WhatsApp, or email.
• We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session.
• Cancellations or no-shows with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged Ksh.500
• Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect our ability to continue offering you an appointment slot.
• Our current session fee is ksh. 2,000 for local clients and $25 for diaspora clients per session
• Payment is made via M-Pesa, and is due before or at the start of each session unless another arrangement
has been agreed in writing.
• We do not begin a session until payment has been confirmed.
• Fees are reviewed from time to time; you will be notified of any change before it takes effect.
What you share in session is confidential and protected under our professional and ethical obligations and the Data Protection Act, 2019. There are limited circumstances in which we may be required or permitted to break confidentiality, including:
• Where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another identifiable person
• Where disclosure is required by a court order or by law (for example, suspected child abuse)
• Where you provide explicit consent for information to be shared (for example, with another healthcare provider)
Full detail on how we collect, use, and protect your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Healing Aura is not equipped to respond to emergencies in real time and does not monitor messages continuously outside of scheduled sessions. If you are in crisis or experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact one of the following immediately rather than messaging us:
• National emergency services: 999, 112, or 911
• Kenya Red Cross emergency line: 1199
• Befrienders Kenya (suicide & emotional distress support): +254 722 178 177
• Or go to the nearest hospital emergency department
• Provide accurate information during intake and throughout treatment
• Attend sessions in a private setting where you can speak freely
• Communicate openly about your needs, concerns, or if therapy does not feel like the right fit
• Treat our clinicians and staff with respect; abusive or threatening conduct may result in termination of services
You may end your engagement with us at any time.
We may end or pause our services to you where, in our professional judgment:
• Continuing is not in your best clinical interest, and we will assist with a referral where appropriate
• Fees remain unpaid without a prior arrangement
• Your conduct is abusive, threatening, or otherwise makes safe delivery of services impossible
• We are no longer able to safely deliver telehealth services to your location
We may communicate with you by email, WhatsApp, or phone for scheduling and general correspondence. These channels are convenient but not fully secure, and should not be used to share urgent or crisis information (see
Section 9). We aim to respond to non-urgent messages within a reasonable timeframe during business hours.
All content on our website including text, graphics, logos, and materials is the property of Healing Aura Resonance Therapy and Wellness Services or its licensors, and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, Healing Aura will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our services or website, including losses arising from technology failure, interrupted internet access, or delayed communication. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot
be excluded under Kenyan law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services will first be addressed through good-faith discussion between you and us; if unresolved, either party may pursue the matter through the courts of Kenya.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The “Last reviewed” date at the top shows when these Terms were last updated. Continued use of our services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
